Peer-Led Online Communities
Community of Excellence gives clinicians a space to continue learning beyond the course through peer discussion, condition insights and evidence-based guideline updates, shared clinical experiences, and ongoing support from peers. These online communities are peer-led and can foster trust, engagement and shared learning. Evidence shows collaborative communities help translate evidence into real-world care while reducing the isolation and uncertainty that can come with implementing new approaches in practice.
These principles are underpinned by the foundational work of Etienne Wenger on communities of practice (CoP), emphasizing mutual engagement, shared repertoire, and joint enterprise as the pillars of effective CoPs.

Focused on building diagnostic and treatment skills in outpatient gynecology
This group supports clinical reasoning, skill refinement, confidence building, professional engagement and EBG updates.
Implementation & Practice Change
Focused on translating new evidence and guidelines into everyday practice.
This group supports implementation of new knowledge into clinical practice practically to address barriers to implementation, collaborative problem-solving, workflow efficiencies involving teams, localized collaborative cross discipline brainstorming and marketing of professional management.
Documentation, Billing & Coding
Focused on strengthening operational and financial sustainability in outpatient practice.
This group supports documentation strategies, discussion around alignment between documentation and coding, skill building with personalization of templates and notes, workflow efficiencies and optimization of EMR.
Patient Education & Engagement
Focused on developing, sharing, and implementing evidence-based patient education strategies that improve understanding, engagement, and outcomes in outpatient gynecology care. This group supports clinicians to collaborate and create consistent messaging, improve health literacy, and share evidence-based tools that help patients participate more actively in their care.

Please do not share protected health information (PHI), personally identifying information (PII), or details that could identify a patient, clinician, employer, practice, or organization. While we’ve designed our learning spaces with privacy protections in mind, maintaining confidentiality is a shared responsibility that helps preserve trust, psychological safety, and meaningful peer learning for everyone.

These online communities are designed to support professional discussion, shared learning, and collaborative growth among clinicians. They are educational communities but not spaces for medical consultation, diagnosis, or patient-specific treatment advice.
We encourage thoughtful, evidence-based conversations that support professional learning and implementation in practice. Examples include:
Evidence updates
High-level guideline interpretation
Practice variability discussions
Professional development
Ethical considerations in clinical care (generalized)
De-identified case-based learning tied directly to CE content
Clinical guideline interpretation and respectful debate
Practice management, workflows, and implementation questions
To help maintain professional, ethical, and legal boundaries, please avoid community categories or posts that seek individualized clinical advice. Examples include:
“Ask a clinical question” posts
“Case help” requests
“What would you do?” discussions about specific patients
Requests for direct treatment recommendations for individual patients
Please do not share any patient information in the communities. This includes information that may appear “de-identified” but could still potentially be recognizable. As a general rule: if you personally cared for the patient, do not post about the case in the community.
We encourage discussion of evidence, guidelines, workflows, and professional experiences but not direct clinical recommendations for an individual patient. Members may discuss what guidelines recommend or how institutions approach care, but should avoid telling another clinician exactly what to do with their patient.
Please do not share confidential employer, institutional, or organizational information within the online communities. Internal policies, proprietary workflows, and protected workplace materials should remain private.
Opinions, experiences, and thoughtful discussion are welcome. However, factual clinical claims should be supported by a reputable source whenever possible, such as a guideline, peer-reviewed study, or recognized professional organization.
We ask all participants to engage with the same professionalism, respect, and collegiality expected at an accredited CE conference or professional meeting. Our goal is to create a safe, thoughtful, evidence-based learning environment where clinicians feel comfortable learning together.
